Six previously undescribed lanostane triterpenoids (1-6), together with 21 known analogues (7-27) were isolated from the fruiting bodies of the medicinal fungus Ganoderma lucidum. Compounds 1-3 are lucidenate-type triterpenoids, whereas compounds 4-6 are ganoderate-type derivatives. The planar structures and relative configurations of the six new compounds were established by comprehensive analysis of HRESIMS and 1D & 2D NMR spectroscopic data. The absolute configurations of compounds 1-3 were determined by ECD calculations or the modified Mosher's method. On the basis of the single-crystal X-ray diffraction data for compound 7, together with biogenetic considerations, the absolute configurations at C-25 of compounds 4-6 were assigned as 25R. Evaluation of the isolated compounds for anti-inflammatory activity revealed no significant inhibition of LPS-induced nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW264.7 macrophages.
