Abstract
An acidic polysaccharide (TAP) was isolated from a hot-water extract of the fruiting bodies of Tremella aurantia. It showed remarkable hypoglycemic activity in normal mice and two diabetic mouse models, streptozotocin-induced diabetes and genetic diabetes, following intraperitoneal administration.
