Abstract
This study focused on Ganoderma mycelium as the experimental subject and conducted a systematic investigation into the effects of varying the addition ratio of biomass charcoal in the cultivation substrate. The objective was to thoroughly evaluate how differences in biomass charcoal proportions influence the growth and developmental characteristics of Ganoderma mycelium. Throughout the experimental process, several critical growth and physiological parameters were monitored and analyzed, including the mycelial growth rate, water retention capacity of the substrate, extracellular enzyme activity, as well as the levels of soluble sugar and protein within the mycelium. Following a series of rigorous experimental procedures and data analyses, the results indicated that increasing the biomass charcoal addition ratio significantly enhanced the growth rate of Ganoderma mycelium, thereby accelerating its expansion and colonization. Concurrently, this adjustment demonstrated a notable promoting effect on the formation and development of Ganoderma primordia, establishing a favorable foundation for subsequent fruiting body development. At the physiological level, an increase in biomass charcoal was associated with elevated soluble sugar accumulation, while intracellular protein content exhibited a decreasing trend. Moreover, higher biomass charcoal ratios significantly improved extracellular enzyme activity, which in turn enhanced the mycelium’s capacity to decompose and utilize nutrients in the substrate. Overall, appropriate regulation of biomass charcoal addition exerts a significant influence on both the growth dynamics and physiological metabolism of Ganoderma mycelium. These findings provide a scientific basis for optimizing cultivation practices aimed at improving the yield and quality of Ganoderma lingzhi.
