Abstract

The invention discloses a Chinese medicinal composition for treating hydrothorax and ascites in poultry with good therapeutic effect, short treatment course and no medicinal residues in poultry bodies. The composition comprises the following Chinese traditional medicines by weight:: 1-80 parts of Poria cocos, 1-80 parts of Alisma orientalis, 1-80 parts of Polyporus umbellatus, 1-80 parts of Cinnamomum cassia bark, and 1-80 parts of Atractylodes macrocephala (parched) wherein Poria cocos, Alisma orientalis and Polyporus umbellatus have effects of inducing diuresis, alleviating edema, and dispersing damp-heat and Cinnamomum cassia bark and Atractylodes macrocephala have effects of strengthening the middle-jiao, invigorating qi, and strengthening spleen and stomach. The composition has effects of strengthening spleen, invigorating qi, inducing diuresis and alleviating edema, and can be used for treating hydrothorax and ascites in poultry. The composition has the advantages of good therapeutic effect, quick action, no drug tolerance, no toxic or side effects, no medicine residues, thereby facilitating human health protection.
