Abstract

The invention discloses a medicinal food for treating cough, asthma, pneumonia and bronchitis and a prepration method thereof. The medicinal food is mainly prepared by the following raw materials according to the mixture ratio by weight: 1-3 parts of unibract fritillary bulb, 0.5-3.5 parts of American ginseng, 1-4 parts of coix seed, 2-4 parts of liquoric root, 1-5 parts of lancelesf lily bulb, 0.5-2.5 parts of semen nelumbinis, 2-4 parts of common yam rhizome, 3-6 parts of honey and 0.2-0.8 part of tremella fuciformis. The raw materials are prepared according to the proportion after respectively being smashed, boiled, concentrated, and mixed according to the different characteristics of the raw materials, and the medicinal food is further prepared by sterilization, anti-corrosion treatment, canning or curing and expansion treatment. The medicinal food achieves the purpose of treating both manifestation and root cause of a disease by replenishing lung qi, improving functions of respiratory system and enhancing resistance. The medicinal food can treat the cough, the asthma, the pneumonia, the bronchitis and other respiratory system diseases. The medicinal food has wide range of applications, convenient administration, radical cure effect and no toxicity or side effects.
