Abstract
The invention relates to an application of ergot sterone in preparation of diuresis medicine. Polyporus umbellatus crude drug is mainly used for clearing damp and promoting diuresis and treating dysuria, edema, diarrhea, strangury with turbid urine and morbid leucorrhea. The inventor utilizes diuresis as pharmacological index and screens target area and active ingredients identical with the function of the polyporus umbellatus on the basis of chemical ingredient research on the polyporus umbellatus. Normal saline loaded water retention animal model is adopted for diuresis screening on sterides compound therein, and the ergot sterone is found to have better diuresis effect and is determined as the target area of diuresis of the polyporus umbellatus.
