On the real identity of Pleurotus nebrodensis in Spain.

Abstract

: The identification of the vernal Pleurotus species with entirely white basidiomata growing on Umbelliferous root residues in Spain as Pleurotus nebrodensis is wrong. The presence of that taxon in Spain is for the moment excluded. The Spanish taxon is instead Pleurotus eryngii var. elaeoselini, reported here for the first time.
