Medium relevancePROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING COMPRESSED MEDIUM WITH REDUCED MOISTURIZATION TIME USEFUL FOR GROWTH OF KING OYSTER MUSHROOM
Pleurotus eryngii
Key points
- PURPOSE: Provided is a process for manufacturing compressed medium useful for growth of King Oyster mushroom, effective to rapidly absorb water in shorter time and reduce time for moisturizing the medium thereby leading to shortening of incubation period after inoculating mushroom microorganisms
- CONSTITUTION: The process comprises the steps of: homogeneously blending 40 wt.% of sawdust of broadleaf tree, 20 wt.% of corncob, 20 wt.% of rice bran, 10 wt.% of corn bran, 5 wt.% of beetpulp and 5 wt.% of gourd in an stirrer introducing the blended material into compression-molding to produce constant size of compressed medium
- The obtained compressed medium can reduce 3-4 days of the incubation period after inoculating, increase harvest about 30% more than conventional medium and shorten mushroom culture period by 4-5 days
