Abstract

A composition containing the extracts of liquefied medicinal herbs is provided to improve immunity function, remove reactive oxygen species and enhance liver function, thereby rapidly removing hangover and restoring fatigue caused by stresses rapidly. A composition containing the extracts of liquefied medicinal herbs for hangover removal comprises 11.5-28.5 wt.% of Phellinus linteus extract, 18.5-21.5 wt.% of Inonotus obliquus extract, 19-21 wt.% of Lithospermum erythrorhizon SIEB. extract, 9-11 wt.% of Hovenia dulcis Thunb extract, 9-11 wt.% of Codonopsis pilosula NANNF. extract, 9-11 wt.% of Euphoria longan STEUD. extract, 0.5-1.5 wt.% of citric acid, 4-6 wt.% of unrefined sugar, 0.5-1.5 wt.% of bamboo salt and 2-4 wt.% of liquid gamro-tea. A method for preparing the hangover removal composition comprises the steps of: (i) dipping Phellinus linteus and Inonotus obliquus in water for 12 hours and heating at 100 deg.C for 12 hours (ii) heating Lithospermum erythrorhizon SIEB., Hovenia dulcis Thunb, Codonopsis pilosula NANNF., and Euphoria longan STEUD. at 100 deg. C for 4 hours (iii) heating gamro-tea in water at 100 deg.C (iv) mixing the extracts of steps (i), (ii) and (iii) (v) adding citric acid, unrefined sugar and bamboo salt into the mixed extracts and (vi) heating the mixture at 100 deg.C for 1 hour.
