Key points

  • A cosmetic composition comprising fermented product of mushroom mycelium is provided to whiten the skin, improve skin wrinkles by inhibiting MMP-1(matrix metalloprotease-1), prevent systemic shock caused by allergenic materials, and alleviate skin itching caused by atopic dermatitis
  • A skin-whitening cosmetic composition comprises the fermented product of mushroom mycelium which is prepared by culturing the mushroom mycelium in a medium containing 100 parts by weight of Angelica utilis Makino, and 35-45 parts by weight of a mixture containing 45-55%(w/w) of Houttuyniae Herba and 55-45%(w/w) of Saururus chinensis Baill at 25-30 deg
  • C and pH 5.3-5.7 for 30-40 days, wherein the mushroom is Ganoderma lucidum, Phellinus linteus, Lentinusedodes, Agaricus blazei murrill, Inonotus obliquus, Auricularia auricula-judae, Tricholoma matsutake mushroom and Grifola frondosa
  • Further, an inoculation weight of the mushroom mycelium is 3 to 7%(v/w)

Abstract

A cosmetic composition comprising fermented product of mushroom mycelium is provided to whiten the skin, improve skin wrinkles by inhibiting MMP-1(matrix metalloprotease-1), prevent systemic shock caused by allergenic materials, and alleviate skin itching caused by atopic dermatitis. A skin-whitening cosmetic composition comprises the fermented product of mushroom mycelium which is prepared by culturing the mushroom mycelium in a medium containing 100 parts by weight of Angelica utilis Makino, and 35-45 parts by weight of a mixture containing 45-55%(w/w) of Houttuyniae Herba and 55-45%(w/w) of Saururus chinensis Baill at 25-30 deg. C and pH 5.3-5.7 for 30-40 days, wherein the mushroom is Ganoderma lucidum, Phellinus linteus, Lentinusedodes, Agaricus blazei murrill, Inonotus obliquus, Auricularia auricula-judae, Tricholoma matsutake mushroom and Grifola frondosa. Further, an inoculation weight of the mushroom mycelium is 3 to 7%(v/w).
