Abstract

PURPOSE: A microorganism, Grifola frondosa HB0071(KCTC 10337BP), a method for producing polysaccharide from the same, and the use thereof are provided. The polysaccharide has improved water-protecting effect and senescence inhibiting effect.

CONSTITUTION: A microorganism, Grifola frondosa HB0071(KCTC 10337BP) producing polysaccharide is isolated from broadleaf tree. A method for producing polysaccharide comprises the steps of: extracting Grifola frondosa HB0071(KCTC 10337BP) with hot water or alcohol to obtain a precipitate centrifuging the precipitate to obtain a supernatant and filtering the supernatant to remove impurities. A cosmetic composition contains 0.01 to 30 wt.% of the polysaccharide produced from Grifola frondosa HB0071(KCTC 10337BP).
