MEDIUM COMPOSITION FOR CULTIVATION OF FUNCTIONAL FLAMMULINA VELUTIPES USING GARLIC AND CULTIVATION OF FLAMMULINA VELUTIPES

Abstract

PURPOSE: A medium composition for the cultivation of functional Flammulina velutipes prepared by mixing sawdust, rice bran and garlic, sterilizing and then adjusting the moisture content is provided. The functional Flammulina velutipes is cultivated with the medium composition with a moisture content of 63 to 65%.

CONSTITUTION: To produce a medium composition for the cultivation of Flammulina velutipes, 0.3% by weight of a garlic extract, 0.7% by weight of water, 82% by weight of sawdust and 17% by weight of rice bran are sterilized at 118deg.C for 90min in a sterilization chamber, the moisture content of the mixture is then controlled to 63 to 65%. In the above process, sawdust with a size of about 2mm is mixed with sawdust with a size of below 2mm in a ratio of 7:3, the mixed sawdust(950cc) with a moisture content of 63 to 65% is then mixed with rice bran(110g). Flammulina velutipes is then cultivated with the medium composition.
