Key points

  • PURPOSE: A method of producing a mycelial culture of Paecilomyces tenuipes, Cordyceps militaris and Phellinus linteus using deep sea water rich in minerals instead of distilled water is provided
  • The culture is increased in extracellular proteoglycan while containing mineral components contained in deep sea water
  • CONSTITUTION: During the manufacture of mycelial culture of mushrooms such as Paecilomyces tenuipes, Cordyceps militaris and Phellinus linteus, 1 to 30%(v/v) of deep sea water is added to a culture medium and cultured at 10 to 40deg.C for 6 to 30 days while shaking
  • In the process, 0.1 to 10% by weight of a mixture of glucose, sugar, yeast extract is added to the deep sea water and sterilized at 121deg.C at 1.5atm for 15 to 60min after controlling the pH to 4 to 11
