Abstract
PURPOSE: An anticancer rice coating composition and the anticancer rice coated with the same composition are provided, thereby adding anticancer function into the rice to improve function of the rice as well as taste and nutrition.
CONSTITUTION: The anticancer rice coating composition comprises (a) medicinal herb extracts including the Phellinus linteus extract and (b) coating diluents, wherein the medicinal herb comprises 6 to 9 wt.% of Phellinus linteus, 6 to 9 wt.% of Coriolus versicolor, 6 to 9 wt.% of Lentinusedodes, 6 to 9 wt.% of Agaricus subfunereus, 30 to 35 wt.% of Polygonatum stenophyllum MAX., 2 to 5 wt.% of Hedyotis diffusa Willd., 2 to 4 wt.% of viscumalbum var. coloratum, 2 to 5 wt.% of Caururus chinensis Baill, 2 to 5 wt.% of Lonicera japonica THUNB., 2 to 5 wt.% of Lycium chinense MILL., and 2 to 5 wt.% of Lithospermum officinale Linn. The anticancer rice is prepared by coating the rice with the anticancer rice coating composition.
