Abstract

PURPOSE: A composition for relieving hangover and improving liver function and a preparation method thereof are provided, which composition reduces alcohol concentration and acetaldehyde concentration in blood after 30 minutes have passed since men drank, and relieves hangover including headache, heart beating, emotion anxiety, fatigue, nausea feeling, sleepiness, discomfort of the abdomen, thirst and enervation.

CONSTITUTION: The composition for relieving hangover and improving liver function comprises Artemisia capillaris Thunb., Pueraria thunbergiana, Hovenia dulcis thunb, Silybum maxianum, Atractylodis Rhizoma alba, Polyporus umbellatus FRIES., Poria cocas WOLF, Citrus unshiu MARKOVICH., Panax schinseng and Lycium chinense MILL. The method for preparing the composition for relieving hangover and improving liver function comprises the steps of: mixing Artemisia capillaris Thunb., Pueraria thunbergiana, Hovenia dulcis thunb, Atractylodis Rhizoma alba, Polyporus umbellatus FRIES., Poria cocas WOLF, Citrus unshiu MARKOVICH., and Lycium chinense MILL. and heating the mixture in water at 80 to 100 deg. C for 16 hours concentrating the heated mixture at 50 to 70 deg. C under vacuum condition adding Silybum maxianum and Panax schinseng concentrate into the concentrated mixture and mixing them.
