Abstract

A novel mixture extracted from mycelia of Antrodia camphorata and compounds isolated therefrom are provided to reduce maximum blood pressure, increase high density lipoprotein, and have central cholinergic agonism, hepatoprotection, antiinflammation and anticancer activities. A novel mixture of Antrodia camphorata mycelia is obtained by extracting Antrodia camphorata mycelia with water or an organic solvent selected from alcohol, ester, alkane and halogenized alkane. The compounds represented by the formula is isolated from the mixture extracted from mycelia of Antrodia camphorate through chromatography, wherein X is N or O R1 is C2-10 alkenyloxy or C2-10 alkynyloxy R2 is C1-10 alkyl, C2-10 alkenyl or C2-10 alkynyl and R3 is H or hydroxy, provided that R3 is absent when X is 0.
