BREEDING METHOD OF MUTANT OF KING OYSTER MUSHROOM

Abstract

A breeding method of a mutant of king oyster mushroom is provided to enhance shape, nutrition, protein expression level, flavor, taste and functionality, and reduce biting taste of king oyster mushroom, so that high quality of king oyster mushroom is produced. A breeding method of a mutant of king oyster mushroom comprises the steps of: (1) separating a protoplast of king oyster mushroom mycelium by putting the king oyster mushroom mycelium in a cell wall-solubilizing solution containing chitinase and a solubilizing enzyme and filtering the solution with an injector having sterilized cotton wool (2) treating the protoplast with 0.05-0.75 mug/ml of NQO(4-nitroquinolene oxide) as a mutation-inducing agent for 15-45 minutes and (3) regenerating the protoplasts treated by NQO.
