High relevanceNOVEL METHOD OF PRODUCING GINSENOSIDES BY BIOTRANSFORMATION OF GINSENG THROUGH LIQUIDL CULTURE OF PHELLINUS LINTEUS STRAIN
Phellinus linteus
Key points
- A method for producing ginsenosides is provided to mass-produce rare ginsenosides of Rd, Rg2 and Rh1 through liquid-culturing of Phellinus linteus mycelium within a short time
- To produce a bio-converted ginsenoside, a Phellinus sp. strain such as Phellinus linteus KCTC 0912BP is liquid-cultured at a temperature of 20-35 deg.C for 1-10 day(s) with agitation, wherein the bio-converted ginsenoside includes Rd, Rg2 or Rh1 and consists of mannose
- Further, the bio-converted ginsenoside is fresh ginseng, dried ginseng or tiny-sized ginseng

Abstract
A method for producing ginsenosides is provided to mass-produce rare ginsenosides of Rd, Rg2 and Rh1 through liquid-culturing of Phellinus linteus mycelium within a short time. To produce a bio-converted ginsenoside, a Phellinus sp. strain such as Phellinus linteus KCTC 0912BP is liquid-cultured at a temperature of 20-35 deg.C for 1-10 day(s) with agitation, wherein the bio-converted ginsenoside includes Rd, Rg2 or Rh1 and consists of mannose. Further, the bio-converted ginsenoside is fresh ginseng, dried ginseng or tiny-sized ginseng.
