A new extraction method and application of antrodia camphorata in promoting the energy and the ability of exercise and anti-fatigue

Abstract

We found a new application of Antrodia camphorata in promoting the Energy and the ability of exercise. We used the gene expression analysis and absorbance value of creatinine-picric acid complex to prove the new application. In the gene expression level, we constructed the subtraction library of RNA to see the differences of liver gene expression between the mice with and without taking Antrodia camphorata extracted by our new process. Guanidinoacetate methyltransferase gene was highly expressed in the mice taking Antrodia camphorata. In the protein level, we also found creatine catalized by guanidinoacetate methyltransferase is increased in mice muscle. The absorbance value of creatinine-picric acid complex is raised from 0.7045 to 0.799. Compared with the standard curve, the total amount of creatine in 0.5g mice muscle were increased from 0.075 g to 0.089 g, with a 18.7% promotion after taking Antrodia camphorata.
