Abstract
Disclosed herein is a method for extracting and isolating crude beta-glucan as a medically effective ingredient from Phellinus linteus in high yield. Specifically, the method increases the extraction rate of crude beta-glucan from Phellinus linteus through degradation of the fruiting bodies of Phellinus linteus by sonication, destruction of cell walls using hot-water under high pressure, and enzyme fermentation.
